From the moment we enter the world, our parents start thinking and taking action for a better future. Then we grow a little, and they put us in school for education to become capable of making our future. As time passes, we grow older and older and start thinking independently- what tremendous we have done or has happened in the past! What actions we can take now to make things better the next moment. These thoughts either lead to putting the best steps forward, and that goes and goes on whole life.
Of course, there is no lousy worrying about the future. That is so necessary to keep growing. It is all about possibilities of new innovations and better you. It gets wrong when you keep daydreaming without caring about what tools you have and how you could use them to turn those possibilities into reality. Most people stick to the past, putting their future at stake because they cannot live in the present.
I do not say to forget the past but not adhere to it the whole day. We can only analyze the good and bad of history and use that realization to replace unhealthy practices with healthier ones. Respected Abdul Kalam has also said that we cannot change our future but can change our habits, which will change our future.
We are continuously taking actions to get expected in the future. However, what when things go otherwise! If things go our way or even better than expected, we become more excited and motivated to do well. But, the challenge is when we do not get as per expectations. It leads to disappointment, and here is the point where we render ourselves vulnerable and susceptible. As a result, people lose themselves to comparing with others and become part of the rat race. Then, they don’t plan for their future, but the people around them indirectly do for them as if their decisions would have no risk.
We should understand that we all have different abilities, experiences, learning, needs, and desires. So, only you know yourself and can think the best for yourself. You will find every dot connected in the future. What you want next should come from within you. Indeed, the environment and people are vital in realizing the possibilities, but the ultimate decision should be yours.
It is all fine if things don’t go as per plan. If everything were supposed to be sure, no words like anticipation, prediction, and risk would exist. As said, “ hope for the best and prepare for the worst.” This quote is one of my favorite future quotes that keeps me deriving. I want to share many more best collections of future quotes.
